“Ramón Xirau is not tied to any one tendency, so he respects and shows interest in all of them. Xirau rejects the systems and forms of philosophy that promote argumentative positions in order to be convincing. His attraction to philosophy is more out of affinity, and he has a curiosity stemming from vital concerns: sacredness, the mystical, and silence” About the author Ramón Xirau (Barcelona, 1924) is a philosopher, poet, translator, academic, and literary critic.
