Vivir entonces: Creac iones del México antiguo Life then: Creations of Ancient Mexico Stavenhagen Colletion Miguel León-Portilla, et al. “Without a doubt, the Stavenhagen collection is one of most coherent and noble collections that through time will play an enormous social and cultural role in this country” José Narro Robles • The Stavenhagen collection is one of the broadest and most varied of pre- Hispanic sculpture in small format in Mexico. • Stavenhagen’s efforts to rescue and promote this collection have resulted in one of the most commendable examples of Mexican art collecting.
